What is a Unit of Inquiry?
Every grade in an IB school creates units of inquiry using the six themes:
Who We Are
Where We Are In Place and Time
How We Express Ourselves
How the World Works
How We Organize Ourselves
and Sharing The Planet
We integrate our standard course of study so it fits in naturally with one of the themes.
These are units of inquiry so we are asking questions to guide our study. The teacher has guiding questions and students also submit their questions early on in the unit to guide the study.
